Who we are

Since 1992, the Islamic Center of Reading, PA, has dedicated itself to serving the religious needs of Muslims within the Berks County Area. Our mission is threefold:
Providing a Place for Worship: We offer a welcoming environment for Muslims to gather and engage in prayer, reflection, and spiritual growth. The Islamic Center of Reading is open every day for all prayers, 7 days a week, ensuring accessibility for worship most of the time.
Establishing a Center for Educational Services: We are committed to fostering knowledge and understanding within our community. Through educational programs, classes, and resources, we empower individuals to deepen their understanding of Islam and its teachings.
Serving as a Resource for Education: We strive to be a reliable source of information for anyone interested in learning about Islam and Muslims. Our doors are open to individuals from all backgrounds, providing opportunities for dialogue, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding.

ICORPA Sunday School

ICORPA Sunday School offers engaging and educational classes for children aged 5 and above, nurturing their understanding of Islamic values and teachings in a supportive environment.

Zakat (Almsgiving) Distribution

ICORPA facilitates the distribution of Zakat, embodying the Islamic principle of charity and compassion. Our service aims to assist those in need within the community, promoting solidarity and providing support to the less fortunate. Through our Zakat distribution, we strive to uphold the values of generosity and social responsibility prescribed by Islam.

Janazah (Body Preparation, Funeral, & Burial) Services

During times of mourning, ICORPA offers compassionate assistance for the preparation, funeral rites, and burial of deceased Muslim individuals, providing support and guidance to grieving families in accordance with Islamic customs.

Nikkah & Walimah (Wedding) Ceremonies

ICORPA extends its support for couples embarking on the sacred journey of marriage by providing assistance for both Nikkah and Walimah ceremonies. Our team ensures these joyous occasions are conducted with reverence, adhering to Islamic traditions, and fostering an atmosphere of celebration and unity within the community.
